BBQ Turkey Meatballs {Bacon Wrapped and Glazed!}

- 3 lbs Ground Turkey Thighs skin on
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs 3 pounds ground turkey thighs (with skin)1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs.1 large egg1 tablespoon Dijon mustard1 tablespoon hot sauce1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Louisiana hot sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 6 strips bacon
- 1/2 cup pepper jelly
Mix the ground turkey with the bread crumbs, eggs, mustard, hot sauce, salt and pepper.
Form the meat mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
Cut the bacon strips in half.
Wrap each meatball with bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Smoke the meatballs at 275F for 30 minutes.
Melt the pepper jelly in a microwave.
Brush each meatball with the melted pepper jelly.
Continue smoking until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165F.
These bbq turkey meatballs are a great appetizer that bring an amazing amount of flavor to the party.
You can use pre-ground turkey if you don't feel like grinding your own but make sure the meat is 85:15. You cannot make a decent meatball with ultra lean ground turkey.
